Colony Brands Accelerates Local Youth
Colony Brands recently presented over $75,000 to programs aimed at accelerating the youth of Green County:
- A total of $28,000 to nine different school districts in southwest Wisconsin including Monroe, Juda, Blackhawk, Monticello, Brodhead, Albany, New Glarus, Belleville and Argyle for their weekend food programs for students in need;
- $20,000 to the Monroe Youth Center to aid in the expansion of the Center. Construction is already underway to double the size of the Center and create some great learning and social space focused on the middle-school aged student;
- $28,000 to purchase new playground equipment that is ADA accessible as well as removal and upgrading of the current surfacing at Twining Park in Monroe.
John Baumann, CEO, and Bob Erb, President, presented the checks. Baumann noted that one of the core values that Colony Brands team members recognize on a daily basis is to “Generously support our communities”, not only financially, but also with our time. In addition to the monetary support given out, several employees helped refurbish a playground structure at a local park and dozens more will volunteer at many different local organizations later in October.
